Alli Gamlen is a performer, director, and arts educator and has performed with numerous companies along the California coast, including Actors Ensemble of Berkeley, SF Shakespeare, Studio A.C.T., South Coast Repertory, Coastal Repertory, Panndora Productions, and Flux Theatre. Favorite roles include 'Pattie' in Kimberly Akimbo, 'Charlene' in Hot'n'Throbbing, and 'Bev' in Clybourne Park.
Alli has directed and trained actors at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, Hillsdale High School, San Leandro High School and Spindrift School of Performing Arts. Favorite directing credits include The Addams Family, In the Heights, Little Shop of Horrors, The Laramie Project,The Princess Bride, and Chicago. A Bay Area native, Alli has studied acting, directing, and dance at American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory, and South Coast Repertory. She is also the Narrator of The PayLess Murders Podcast. Alli currently serves as a Musical Theatre Director within A.C.T.'s Young Conservatory and as the Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator at the San Mateo County Office of Education. When she's not onstage or on camera, she can be found in a dance class or exploring the East Bay. |
